2008 is Gonna Be Gr8!

Hi there! Since I started my personal blog and it was so easy and so fun, I decided to start a family blog. You may not be so interested in checking in on the Taylor family, and that's ok. But if you ever wonder, "What are those Taylor's up to these days?"....well, now there's a place to find out. Here!

We didn't get a Christmas card or letter out this year. It was just too crazy and something had to be eliminated. I'm sorry we didn't send any out. I love getting cards...especially pictures of all of our friends and family. I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Our family is so looking forward to 2008. We even have a motto. "2008 is gonna be gr8". That's it. We are striving for excellence in all areas. We aren't settling for fine or good. It's great...or gr8:) What about you? What are your goals or dreams for 2008?

Jeff just started a new job. We are so thankful for it. He is working for a Commercial Brokerage Company, Percival McGuire. There are many opportunities for him and he already has a listing. It is a huge blessing indeed. We could use your prayers. Specifically that he has 2 presentations a week and will have many closings this year.

I went back to work a few months ago. I am working for Proverbs 31 Ministries as an Administrative Assistant. I LOVE my job! I have been offiliated with Proverbs for over 4 years now as a speaker and writer. Working in the office is like icing on the cake. I work with the most amazing women and have the privilege every day to help people from all over the world. I am still speaking....in fact I have upcoming events this month, and April, May, June, and September. Last August, I had some of my writing published for the very first time. Twelve devotions I wrote were included in the book, God's Purpose For Every Woman. The book has been very successful. I also continue to write devotions for Proverbs 31 Daily Devotions. My family and friends are a huge source of my material! I will have a feature article in the P31 Woman magazine later this year. Also last August, I had the amazing opportunity to go to Ecuador with Compassion International. Visit the Compassion Blog (click the link) to get more info on that.

And the kids. Well let me say, I don't think I'm biased. I really don't. But, Jeff and I have the most amazing kids ever! They each posess talents, gifts, and abilities.....plus they are just so sweet, loving, and special. Blake is just so creative. He works so hard at everything he does. He's responsible and we can always count on him. He is a great son, brother, and friend. Hayden is just real. There is no guessing what you get with Hayden. He is passionate about college football. He is crazy, smart, and is always looking for the easy way out:) He has a sweet heart....he just doesn't want you to know it. Dylan is just the sweetest person ever. That's just the truth. Challenge me on that and I'll prove it! He is so caring and loving. He would do anything for anybody. He's doing great in school and has the craziest friends. And Hayley Grace. Well what can I say about the 1st girlchild in the Taylor Clan? Drama. Emotion. Fun. Fashion. Tough. Beautiful. She is a delight! And she "works it"! I would be a bad mom if I left out the other girl in our family.....Princess. Our 5 pounds of joyful love. Princess is our poodle and she is sweet and has no favorites. She loves everyone. Such a great doggie!

Well, I think that's enough to start with. I hope you will visit us often and let us know how you are doing too. We feel like we are so blessed. We have a big, loving family and so many wonderful friends. We thank God for you all.

Blessings,
Melissa

Taylor Family,

Hoped you enjoyed American Idle last night. We only saw a little of it. Clancie had 11 teenagers over for Taco Tuesday.
